Quality Technician

We are looking to recruit a Quality Technician to support all aspects of quality to drive continuous improvement across all internal process. This position reports to the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager and will be a key member of the Quality and CI team

Key Responsibilities include:- 

  • Management of the customer returns (RMA) process including booking in and liaising with Customer Support and Production to ensure all RMAs are processed in a timely manner
  • Weekly internal reporting on RMA and non conformances
  • Creation of FAIR (First Article Inspection) reports in line with the open order book. Inspection of final completed assembly to all relevant internal and customer standards. Dimensional measurement and validation of component parts. Completion of FAIR documentation
  • PCB/Metal Work Goods In Inspection
  • Conduct Quality Audits on completed assemblies
  • Creation of Inspection Checklists in both Excel and Aegis NPI Software
  • Creation of Quality reports utilising data from data sources such as Aegis Analytics and AOI Yestech Databases to support continuous improvement activities
  • Monitor of the Aegis Yield Quality Dashboard and Investigate non-conforming processes
  • Conducting Internal Quality Audits on finished PCB assemblies
  • Support defect material containment/ screening activities where required
  • Liaise with customers where required
  • Document archiving/Scanning as required
  • Support Quality Engineers and Quality & CI Manager with other duties as required

The ideal candidate will have:-

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Access database navigation
  • Ability to prepare clear, accurate and concise reports, charts and Graphs
  • Good influencing and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Attention to detail, Finisher/Completer
  • Good understanding of IPC standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • Organised and self-disciplined
  • Tenacity and desire to succeed
  • Good process knowledge is an advantage
