Facilities Cleaner

We are looking to recruit a cleaner to join the Facilities team at Fabrinet UK, reporting to the QESH Manager 

The key purpose of this job role is to maintain high standards of cleanliness through the facility.  You will be responsible for a designated area and will be expected to clean to the frequency and standard set out in the cleaning schedule

 Key responsibilities include:-

  •  Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
  • Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops to ensure full cleanliness

  • Mopping floors (wet or damp mops) again to ensure full cleanliness

  • Vacuum cleaning of carpeted areas

  • Using electrically powered scrubbing machine to wash, scrub production area floors (after receiving proper instruction and training)

  • Using electrically powered cleaning machines

  • To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments

  • To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, nail brushes etc)

  • To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks and drinking fountains

  • The use of chemical agents as directed by the QESH Manager in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving proper instructions and training

  • To undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arm’s extension from floor level, during periodic cleaning maintenance programmes 

The successful candidate will:-

  •  Be a team player
  • Communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions both verbal and written

  • Have excellent attention to detail and clean to a high standard

  • Have excellent time keeping

  • Be able to competently use industrial cleaning equipment e.g. vacuum cleaners, electric scrubber drier

  • Have a basic health and safety understanding – experience of working with risk assessments and safe standards of work

  • Ideally have a minimum of 2-3 years proven experience in an industrial cleaning position but this is not essential

The hours of work are Monday – Friday 5.00 pm – 8.30 pm. We offer a competitive salary plus an excellent benefits scheme including 5 weeks holiday per year plus bank holidays, Company pension scheme, Life Assurance, Flexible Benefits scheme and family friendly HR policies
